Yes! A maybe actually decent person working for an incredibly shady organization, Paladin went up the ranks in my book.

Not -quite- the route I expected her to go with it (although I didn't expect them to die), but eh, it kinda establishes her dominance in the group. She solved the issue, she's (to appearances, not to fact) mentally unstable enough that if she wants to push something they're -going- to go her route, and it helped her learn how these two react to her threat levels.

I like her style.

The paladin is your pal!
17252: Jeez - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 3:16 AM
Well that’s one way to sabotage.
17253: Little Smile - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 3:21 AM
If that was supposed to be a gesture to make her look rational, trustworthy or a good companion, i think it backfired hard. Cause all she has shown is that she could kill the other two at any given time easily without any weapon or tool.

Rock, paper, scissors, DESTRUCTIVE CELLS! My favorite game

@LittleSmile
It seems that all Lorg knows that paladins can't kill other people with their magic. I know, she could just punch them to death, but she hasn't shown her physical strength yet.
17256: whitemanpt - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 5:13 AM
weapons are whortless, she can still use magic. whats the point of her using weapons?
17257: Saiko - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 5:24 AM
She's could have a glorious career in dismantling business. Why she has become a paladin for Global Order instead is a mystery.
Also, she did what I expected Tobi would do in her place. Maybe they are a match?
17258: Storm - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 8:38 AM
Huh, guess that it must not have been that great a treasure! Or perhaps the Paladin is in the mindset of her job and isn't concerned with carrying loot to the finish line?
Dunno what to make of that "ONLY ONE REASON!" remark. I mean there're lots of reasons that the Paladin could've wanted it, even if they assumed the worst about the Paladin's motivations. Examples:
1. Profit, since it's treasure.
2. To ensure that no one else uses it against them.
3. As a tool for later challenges.
4. To more awesomely throw Scissors in their game.

@whitemanpt
She can't use her powers against non-magical humans, which the cop would likely know, at least.
17260: Kris - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 10:01 AM
Can't ruin the game until the target's acquired. And more contestants are rounded up.
17261: Kiithnaras - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 10:31 AM
@TheMegaX
Paladins are, explicitly, not "allowed" to use their powers to "harm" non-magic users. This does not stop them from restraining or otherwise non-injuriously interfering with their powers, as we saw with Tobi on the docks.
Secondly, the restrictions placed upon the Paladins for their power usage appears to be statutory in nature rather than some sort of hard interruptive or non-functioning restriction. Nothing but her code and sense of justice prevents her from using her powers on the other contestants, particularly here so far outside the law.
17262: Sporf - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 11:21 AM
@Kiithnaras I'm pretty sure she said she'd die if she used her powers to harm a non magic user. So a weapon would still be to her benefit if she wanted to kill the others. However she does seem to take her code seriously anyway and doesn't seem too likely to kill everyone in here.
17263: TheMegax - Wednesday, May 16 2018 - 12:59 PM
@Kiithnaras
Good point. Therefore, the paladin can "restrain" a contestant and wait to another force to kill them (Like a bomb or a contestant, for example), apart from stopping them to escape a certain room.
Also, what a think she's doing is to make herself like a fair person, but not exactly trustworthy.

Yep, she practically said she would explode.
Man... if her powers are like this, I don't want to see her insides. Brrrr.

Given that on that same page she apparently kills some guy bare-handed, the chainsaw still seems superfluous.
17267: Saiko - Thursday, May 17 2018 - 12:09 AM
She has blue eyes when examining the chainsaw, so probably power similar to Tobi's. Clearly she didn't find the saw useful.

I have no idea why I colored her eyes blue there lol, it's a graphic error.
