Wait a dang second. Any time a player has died, Smile has announced that said player has "Left the Game." If that rationale holds true, would that mean that Smile would intervene if another player tried to kill Green? He isn't 'allowed' to 'leave' the game, after all.

So he has a strong incentive to help others leave... or maneuver them into death in ways that won't count as him violating the murder rules. A player could accept his help knowing this, at times more readily than otherwise, but would have to interrogate his reasons and insist on him taking the same risks whenever possible.
All that assuming he's not lying now, of course.

That's rough. I'm surprised he just threw that out there, that's the kind of rule that gives him an inherent motive for murder. But I guess it's also a perfect explanation for why he doesn't just use his winnings to leave the game.

If everyone leaves/is ready to leave before he is, in theory he should also be sble to leave. He might have to be in one of those "escape pods" alone to do so, but in theory that should still work. Though perhaps it will throw an extra snag into the general plan.
