What does your gut tell you?

Threatening.

THUD indeed.

Gottem.

I'm glad Nightshade managed to find a path here and achieve that greater good.

He actually escalated the threat much faster than I expected. He really wanted them both intact.

...Good(?) Guy, Alfen...? Bad Guy, Alfen? Creepy Morally Ambiguous Guy, Alfen? Eh, even if he's a monster, he's OUR monster right now.

Kinda rich for Skystroke to call Alfen a piece of shit, tho. He's not exactly a paragon of niceties and virtue himself.

I like to think that Evyle's eye went big on the second to last panel because she was laughing internally at Skystroke's words, but she couldn't laugh out loud because you know, throat grip and all that.

Alternatively one could say he de-escalated the situation with a minimum of violence.

43362: Nanashi - Tuesday, August 27 2024 - 7:38 AM

Hey, he said the thing!

43363: Melany - Tuesday, August 27 2024 - 9:31 AM

I'm not sure if Sky-Stroke's gut can tell him anything, on the account of it just getting perforated and all.

@noname, Alfen is a good guy. He took a substantial risk to save Burk and Evyle even though as far as we know he doesn't stand to benefit from their survival. The situation with the executives is already on the way to being resolved in his favour, he doesn't need Evyle to undo any contracts (neither his, nor Ice Queen's), hell, he has a reason to be mad at Evyle! Skystroke might have been punished for killing the two, which could benefit Nightshade, probably!

He's just using his powers which are not that powerful in a direct confrontation in an efficient manner and indeed for the greater good.

Hard guy to read, especially right now. Just what is he thinking?
