Good Guy, Alfen... And I dunno if I'd say Skystroke "forgot" about swallowing that seed thingy, he probably just didn't think that Nightshade would ever go to THESE kinds of lengths to protect Burk. I mean, what he is doing here could probably get him branded as a traitor, and he's doing it for a man who's just about a complete stranger to him...
Kinda feels like Alfen may be considering ditching Heroland now that nothing is forcing him to stay, meaning he can take his chances with risky decisions... That, or he'll stay specifically to make sure a coercion-and-corruption scenario, like the one the CEOs were responsible for, doesn't happen again.

I wonder if Alfen is an actual good guy or a cunning and opportunistic ass who will switch allegiance at the first moment it appears to be more beneficial. After all, he might be aspiring for more - maybe even upper management. Taking a risk to do the right thing might be good on his resume. He also seems to know how things roll in this company.
