Okay! Burk's shoulder-devils being actual spirits is something I honestly did NOT see coming! (I bet plenty of people down here in the comments are gonna say "Called it!" though... Good for you guys...) Still, the fact that these spirits look like Burk is certainly very, very interesting...

I wonder if that's the deal though: Burk has to do the bad thing the spirits are trying to talk him into doing or else lose his powers if he refuses to do it? (I may be wrong, but I cannot recall a single time these shoulder-devils weren't in agreement on the fact that Burk should do something bad that Burk was then immediately talked into doing.)

The weird thing though is that they look like burk, If burk was just in a similar dynamic to morty+vonney I would guess they would look different.

I do wonder if they aren't "spirits" in the normal way though. LIke from what I remember, we have only one other example of someone being followered around by a two horned incorporeal being espers can see, and it was ciel. But I always figured that ciel wasn't noah's spirit of pandemonium (My geuss is that noah's spirit of pandemonium is that two headed cerbus looking shadow thing, ciel was a manual made by that that). That might be way off base though

Morty paying so much attention to the existence of the spirits I think he missed what they are saying.

Hmm. So possessing spirits aren't constantly visible to espers... or can mini-burks specifically hide themselves? The former is probably more likely, or espers would have difficulty seeing normal things in a room crowded with magic users.

I don't think mini-burks have ever told Burk to do anything particularly bad. They aren't even telling him to kill Morty, merely to punch his lights out - a perfectly reasonable and measured course of action. Burk also disagreed with them immediately at the start of Vonney fight, so they're definitely not in control.

We've never seen those spirits affect the real world, they're probably only giving Burk information, which very useful of course, but not without Burk being able to act on it. So no, Burk isn't "like" you, Morty, Burk also has the power of Burk himself.

Morty is going to be reallllly stupid here either banish/seal them w/e then laugh maniacally acting like Burk's toast before swallowing the rest of his teeth and losing consciousness.
