Just for your information

As you might've guessed by the super consistent updates since the reboot, I'm keeping a strong buffer this time around.

Obviously this comes with advantages and disadvantages, but it does mean that I have consistent updates for the next few months secured entirely.

That being said I just wanted to inform you guys that I finished chapter 1 in my buffer and will soon start producing chapter 2.
It'll be a while before you'll get to see it of course (as I said, my buffer is a few months strong) but chapter 2 = character switch.

A big question I had for you guys is if, based on the comic so far, you had any major advice/tips/feedback based on what you've seen of chapter 1?

The start of a new chapter is the best moment to try and add any sort of big changes. So now's the time to tell me if you've got any in mind.

Kind regards,
Neorice

i got no suggestion but i can say that so far, the comic has been awesome

Less clutter, more action! There is too little going on in the new burk compared to the old one!
They are presented page by page but not always each page contains something special! I think each page should either reveal something/introduce new character, pose a big question or cliffhanger or have a good joke. Otherwise this page by page format is not used to its maximum. I would probably be less annoyed by this if you compiled 3 pages into one and published once a week.
This is my main issue with the reboot!

Style is wonderful, I am in love with your pixels!

Everything that hapiel said - really!

Awesome stuff, but too many pages being there for filler.

Can't wait for chapter 2. I wonder if we see Tobi or Noa - I know I'm waiting for the latter.

Let's be honest guys, I'd kinda like to see how the commoners in the beginning fit in the story.

Aside from that, though, no complaints.

The comic is really interesting, Mr. 'Rice, but I guess it lacks of action, sometimes. You could improve it, putting up more physical conflicts (though not random fights) and less side-talking, unless there's really some core info about something that's happening in the story.

As was told already, because of the new format everything happens slower, which is sometimes somewhat problematic. On the other hand, I understand why you have to do it that way, and I'm generally glad that the comics keeps updating, so the somewhat slower pace doesn't bug me that much.
The pace raises one question though - do you plan to ever finish HoH, or will it be an endless endeavour that your descendants will have to carry on in your place? :P

Also, just to emphasize the positive - regardless of the slow pacing, I really, really enjoy the way you write HoH. The pacing thing is just a general problem with webcomics, especially if one has other responsibilities and jobs. There are far worse "offenders" than you, and the fact that you produce comics so regularly makes the pacing less of a problem that it is in other cases, I think.

I'd still love a character page with some pixel headshots. The pixels you use for the comic are good but a clearer view of the chars face would be rad as heck. But that's all up to you I guess.

The pages so far seem great.

I wouldn't change anything about the comic, but It would be cool to see like, a big "One Piece" cover page for each chapter, large versions of characters in fun situations and such.
Thank you for your hard work!

I have to agree stuff happens slower. It can take 3-5 updates for the piece of action, plot movement, etc to happen. Now this isn't bad the filler comics are good and sometimes funny it just feels a lot slower. At this pace I personally would prefer more frequent updates to move the plot along faster. Or perhaps instead of the standard 3 panels make each longer.

The slow pace (due to updates) may be seen as a disadvantage, but I think the story is much better than APtGG ever was, no matter how much I liked it.
Instead of action or a joke on every page, this comic so far has a much more developed plotline and more defined characters.
It's also 163 pages so far and APtGG only reached to 294 (including filler) in much more time, with less actual progress (as far as I remember, I haven't read APtGG since the summer).

In short, the pacing is slow compared to webcomics such as MSPA wich updates up to 20 pages a day, but don't compare this to that. If you take it at face value, I think it's a great comic!
