Either way I picture 3 as a ceramic mannequin filled with juicy horror flesh. The small fry thugs called him a golem but I get a homunculus vibe.

'Homunculus' is latin for 'little human'
I agree that those look like veins on his extended arm, and he is probably a creation of human-like anatomy.

I know the original mythology for homunculus, (wish I didn't, seriously.) but the modern interpretation is a little more flexible.
Really nowadays homunculus seems to be the term to use when you don't want to toss about words like "biomechanical" and get sci fi mixed up in your fantasy.

To me Three looks more synthetic than the previous time. Less demonic-horrory, more SciFi-horrory. Previously he was like totally and extensively transforming his arm, and on these last panels it's more like he extends it, like a robot (or Tobi's gizmo), and only transforms a bit.
But it's hard to base opinion on one image, so there's need to wait for more.
