Knock Knock!

Oh hi Moe the Shifter, fancy seeing you here.

9940: Za_blargian - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 4:57 AM

Huh. Moe actually hit Burke. That's impressive.

9942: whitemanPT - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 5:26 AM

it just made him bounce like a ball and it was a sneak attack. Now how does moe compare to logan

9943: giovanni - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 5:39 AM

well, thats a plot twist i didn't expect

9944: itblobboy - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 5:42 AM

Burk is very bouncy. I hope that's because of the magic attack and not the sheer force of the attack... But Burk appears in tact.

I love the expression on Aristocrat's face! You know he's surprised, but before all else he's just furious this dimwit hit Burk. And probably a few other things, like this dimwit now needing to be dealt with.

I probably shouldn't insult Moe. He seems strong and disconcertingly unconcerned with his face bleeding.

Interesting, there's a drawback to using the "Destiny" attacks. Is that smoke coming out of the Aristocrat's mouth?

Also, could Moe be the one to make Saitama-er, I mean, Burk fight all out?!

I suppose he might be, as long as he doesn't call his attacks :P

I must note the excellent character contrast you've set up with your antagonists. On one hand, we have the Aristocrat: an adept and direct hand-to-hand fighter, and a (former) royal dressed to the nines, lacking the will or motive to truly harm others. On the other hand, you have Moe the Shifter, a conniving murderer with his hands near-literally tied behind his back, and a convicted maximum-security prisoner for whom murder is as natural as breath.

Their colors are even in direct contrast, with the gold of the Aristocrat representing wealth and light, and Moe's purple shade symbolizing cruelty and darkness.

Was Burk sense mentioned before?

9951: Neoriceisgood - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 10:28 AM

@MaZe

I don't believe so, but it's best not to take the things Burk claims too literally.

9953: Reginald - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 6:27 PM

Burk seems to have blocked the attack using his questionable... shield. If this is true, he is likely rebounding off of the cieling and floor to distance himself from further attacks, rather than due to the attack itself. Notably, he seems to gauge his foes before actually fighting, and this strike gives him an accurate assessment of Moe's strength.

@Reginald

The metallic clunk noises are from the shield yeah, I'll say Burk doesn't have much choice in how far he rebounds aside from that though.

That's still one of my favorite lines knock knock MOE'S HERE!

9957: Cellphone - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 8:41 PM

Oh dear. IIRC, that's the first time Burk's been truly surprised since the start of the comic. Look at his eyes in the last few panels.

9958: Cellphone - Thursday, August 4 2016 - 8:43 PM

Also, "ZWOAGH" is certainly an interesting sound effect.

9961: addyk2003 - Friday, August 5 2016 - 5:45 AM

Nooo way... did Burk just get knocked!? (O_O)

9963: Ava - Friday, August 5 2016 - 6:16 AM

Burk's bleeding from his nose :o

First time Burk has ever been hit, or second time Burk has had to put true effort into dodging. Not sure which.
