The last panel confused me at first, the aristocrat's line 'Back for dessert?' should be at the top of the panel because he's speaking first. The way the dialogue is arranged now makes it look like he's replying to the other guy, not the other way around.

The masked bandit replied to the aristocrat's quirp in the last panel. (about him being so awesome); after that the aristocrat replies with "back for dessert?"; the bubble arangament makes sense.

Why do I feel like the warboar was the cause of the fog?

I, too, was initially confused by this arrangment, but it only took a few moments to deduce its meaning.
