Ciel opened her eyes slightly more than usual… I get the impression that hearing Noah saying that angered her.

We're sending nightmares into mindscapes oh my!
@HanMK looks more like understanding.

Wait, are Ciel's horns bigger?
I can't easily go back to check it right now, can anyone confirm?
And if so does that represent a power increase?
44986: Joe - Monday, December 9 2024 - 2:42 AM
so Noah can now cut and paste nightmares into mindscapes? We've only seen the hallowman moved into his own mindscapes. What about all the other nightmares?
44987: Silver - Monday, December 9 2024 - 4:27 AM
@Zizzo Yep they look bigger than the last time she appeared (in her humanoid form), nice catch.
I like Noah's new smile, makes him look happier! Not sure he's going to agree though.

So if the empire executed Noah, Chernyl's powers would manifest just as before.
44990: Zizzo - Monday, December 9 2024 - 10:29 AM
@Sliver
I knew it! Thanks for checking.

@Abbie
The manifestation of nightmares in Haven was strongly influenced by two things: the paint that was hijacked to spread the nightmarish influence and Hallowman creating an artificial night.
If Noah dies, Hallowman could survive or die, it's unclear what would happen. However, hallowman would be released at the site of Noah's death, so he would be the only nightmare present, and there's a strong probability nightmares would manifest as the first time it ever happened, unless Chernyl dreams up of more meta nightmares (very possible).

In fear of making myself look like an idiot I will ask: Did Noah not make any wish for the Grey Child in the end?
Also, why did he make a wish to send nightmares to mindscapes?
44993: tomtomy - Monday, December 9 2024 - 12:57 PM
@Tom
Noah willingly disregarded the first wish the grey child asked of him. The second wish was not talked of then, so the grey child might try to collect the favor later.
Sending nightmares to mindscapes is a surefire way to isolate them somewhere where they don't kill thousands of people. It's not ideal, but if his wish failed, the situation would have worsened. So if the worst is random people have ordinary nightmares, that is livable and wouldn't even be noticed as something special unless the nightmares are liberated on the death of the mindscape's owner.
44994: Baprr - Monday, December 9 2024 - 2:16 PM
@Tom, I recently reread Noah's arc and can answer!
Noah wished to alter his own power rather than Chernyl's because his "wishes" aren't unlimited - they seem to mostly affect Noah's spirit, Ciel's, powers and abilities - so it's quite likely that a wish to transfer Chernyl's powers simply wouldn't work. At least not in a straightforward manner. Being able to imprison nightmares at will is still pretty good.
Grey Child asked for two wishes - one (as we've found out yesterday) to transfer the control over nightmares to it, and the other it's keeping for now. So no, Noah didn't make any wishes on behalf of Grey Child. Yet. He still could relinquish control over his captive nightmares to GC though, so technically he still might.

Assuming the Grey Child is Chernyl's bound spirit, then their requested wish might have worked because Noah was in Chernyl's mind at the time. I wonder if Noah's wish also gave Chernyl that power or modified how her power worked in some way? Or maybe the nightmares just appear in Noah's mindscape now.
44996: Nomi - Monday, December 9 2024 - 7:06 PM
I've been wondering recently.
Why mindscape entering and "wishes?" The Pandemonium powers we've seen so far have been pretty one note. They do one thing, "time freeze objects" "make remote eye" "capture object in card" etc. Maybe if you practice you can get more out of them, but Noah only having the power to do mindscapes would make sense as a discrete thing. Is it because of the Pandemonium spirit he's attached to? Why Ciel called him Minori?

According to a prophecy that Lady Veda was aware of, someone in Justopea has the power to grant wishes, presumably Noah.
But clearly the power is a lot more complex than that. I think it's something like, enter someone's mindscape and then wish inside of it, then pull the wish result out into the real world.

@Nomi Remember when Noah entered the Elf's mindscape? "A way to escape Home has opened." Noah is able to enter mindscapes as a result of a wish he made. Before that, he only entered *his own* mindscape, which presumably is something everyone can just do.
She knows EXACTLY how many shits he gives
