Hallowman doesn't deserve to have Noah being mean at him; what he deserves is to be fully, completely, utterly, and definitively annihilated.

With monsters like that, revenge is pointless, the only thing that matters is removing the threats that they could act again.

So i read again the entirety of the Noah arch in the past couple of days and good thing i did, because there were a lot of details that i had forgotten. I plan to do the same for all the others.
Once again i tip my hat to you Guido, you are an excellent storyteller and it's amazing how your art has improved since the beginning.

You know, I tend to agree with the whole "Don't taunt the eldrich abomination" sentiment, but in a weird way this is cathartic for Noah. It's him facing down a foe that could have and WOULD have killed him in the past, someone who he knows undeniably meant him malice, and getting some closure for all the shit he had to wade through. Noah wasn't the person who had the worst experience in Haven, undeniably (all the corpses of the recently dead would have a word to say to me if I tried to make that claim) but what he went through was undeniably traumatic and horrific and would be scarring for anyone.

This is him owning his fears and showing he believes he can overcome them, instead of being a slave to them.

So good for you, Noah. I truly, sincerely hope that this doesn't come back to bite you in the ass, because you deserve a win after all the horror.

I seem to be the only person commenting who thinks this page shows a likely bad thing for NOAH. Not in the "Don't taunt the eldrich abomination" way suggested, which other's have commented on. No, that a "Stupid thing to do" type worry about what will happen.

Instead, I'm worried that this page is showing that Noah's personality has already been affected by the Hallowman being in his subconscious, changing him. Hallowman failing to scare Noah isn't a big deal if it's succeeding in merging with his consciousness. If, in about two months Hallowman's nightmares stop because Noah and Hallowman are too intertwined for one scare the other.

On the other hand, that IS pretty much the only way that the Noah we met at the beginning of the story to EVER become the Cool Guy Burk wants to meet.

...I sense a jump-scare about to happen on the next page tomorrow...
