Ah. I did consider a disguised nightmare, but not an outraged one. Does Ypu not know about Ciel (I was half expecting her to be the teacher before Ypu showed up) then? And more importantly... why did Ciel leave the dead kid *within reach* of the great Ypu/Hallowman?

This surely can't be a 'keep the dead kid safe in a bubble' scenario as various clowns and nightmares have access to it. I don't know, maybe he really is the social nightmare mentioned in the ad/announcement bar and has been put away in Chernyl's mind like the others.

Our cast of characters consists of the dead kid himself, three girls (only two of whom spoke), the friend who isn't reacting to any of this, a voice on the radio, a random clown, a lot of background NPC's and Mr Ypu Hallowman. Question is, how many of those people are actually people?

@ Hollowman: Easily. He had a magical power that he doesn't like that puts him into the mind of other people, and you were ignoring him because you had LONG stopped thinking of the lazy boy who was primarily focused on keeping himself alive as a threat. Hell, you didn't even notice him disappear! That's how much you weren't paying attention to him.

I suspect Noah will not be sleeping well for quite some time...

So how this ties in with the prior clown will be the question.

I'm also wondering if the way Noah's wish worked is now he has the nightmares haunting him (basically he has to deal with them every time he falls asleep).

It occurs to me that our 'worthless nobody' may have been the ideal person to defeat Ypu. Someone with a *very* useful power he'd ignore until it was too late. Hrrm. In fact I'd say he's almost *too* perfect, could this whole thing have been someone's plan to contain Chernyl's horrors, from the very first page?

@ Hallowman: I had forgotten about Noah's skill at Mask, as well. It's understandable that you forgot about him, he has so much talent at Mask that your magically created mind couldn't even pay any attention to him.

I suppose the moral of the story is 'never be impolite to strange clowns'. The hero of Haven, Apu 'Chernyl's worst nightmare' Hallowman and a clown all being in the same place suggests this a pocket dimension rather than a mindscape for whatever that's worth.

@Someguy: How would the latter know to recreate the former's classmates? It's strange though. Very strange. I'm honestly not sure if Windows 'Dead Kid' Radar was ever a human at this point.
