he'll be ok, folks
44076: Silver - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 2:46 AM
I almost feel bad for Morty here even though he's a slimy little weasel.
44077: tracer - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 3:32 AM
Serving as Burk's shield wasn't enough?
44078: The_Squished_Elf - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 3:37 AM
Well that’s definitely not an ominous cutaway *at all*…
Meanwhile the lore fiend part of me is kinda sad we don’t get to see the magic torture Morty’s about to undergo. I want to know the _mechanics_ dammit
44080: Parm - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 3:52 AM
Well, if we're following Evylle's example, the answer is an arm
44081: Sloss - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 3:52 AM
This guy is an excellent example of lawful-evil.
On another note, morty proved to be pretty resilient, he'll be fine
44082: -D- - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 4:22 AM
Oh, no. Morty might enjoy it! He's a masochist little rat.
44083: Ghost - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 4:28 AM
Thats it torture and possibly drive the guy insane then he can finally be a worthy opponent for Burk.
44084: Cromire - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 6:20 AM
It was at that moment...
When Morty realized he was in MAJOR Trouble.
44085: Tom - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 6:51 AM
So, given Burk's esper abilities... what the eff did he go through?
44086: Bogg - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 9:13 AM
Look on the bright side Morty, after what Burk did to you, you might already be a bit stronger.
44087: Radical Dreamer - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 10:20 AM
@tracer
That was physical-induced trauma. That just gets you bruises and broken bones.
What we need is magical-induced trauma to really get those anti-magic esper abilities flowing.
44088: someone - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 10:25 AM
@Tracer: "Serving as Burk's shield wasn't enough?"
No, that was mostly plain old physical trauma. He needs magical trauma to grow as an esper.
44089: Z2 - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 1:07 PM
I dub thee 'Noah junior'. Take 1 useless nerd, add 1000 tons of utterly ridiculous trauma, get 1 semi-competent hero nerd
44091: Some guy - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 1:59 PM
@-D-
Nah, it's supposed to be trauma. If he enjoys it, they'll just do something different.
44092: Welf - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 2:41 PM
Hm, who would have thought the SHS officer could be morally flexible.
44093: Darius Drake - Thursday, October 17 2024 - 8:15 PM
@ Tracer: "Serving as Burk's shield wasn't enough?"
While I agree with "someone", in addition I suspect that the trauma may need to connect back to the power. Beating up an Esper with Spirit will only make them less vulnerable to Spirit (or magic as a whole), while suffering from a Magical Contract may be something sufficient to give the Esper some form of Contract Powers.
