Before people start singing his praises, it's worth noting that all Hero-Man's prepared to say is that he'll *resign*, not that he'll try to stop it. It's admirable, and the (possibly public) resignation of the most popular hero in Hero-Land could possibly do some damage even if no one knew why, but there's a cynicism in there.

To be fair if everyone else was on board with it, how should Heroman stop it? Fight ten White Stars? Commit treason by just going against it?
This truly is the most drastic response he could make, and even if going further would be possible and practical, he is a hundred times more heroic than I thought he would be at the start of this scene.

It'll probably be far simpler and less bloody than that, if they really want to avoid problems. It would be easier for them to get in contact with the target of the executives' operation and bribe them in some way. They don't seem to like any part of the situation but for them to decide that the best course of action is to continue as Dolk planned is just foolish.

Still waiting on a mention of Burk and to see if anyone there knows about him.

"Resign on the spot" might very well imply "And then find the Diplomat and protect him".
Of course, being part of the upper crust in the first place does make me look a bit cynically at him as well...

Whelp, Burk and his adventuring party are marked by the group guiding Heroland.

Burk will be disappointed that noone will learn of his epic battles!

I was just about to say that I wonder how they will hide this since both Pablo is alive and well (and Piper too) and about to report exactly what happened to his superiors but I guess they've already thought of something to do about it
