Human Filth.

Pathetic filth ...

And everyone is asking themselves: "who is going to be used as an example to prove it?"

She wouldn't actually join him, would she? Like I know Pablo's mission isn't done, but she wouldn't actually keep going with them, right?

She's quite literally burning the bridges to her old life, and Burk (and Pablo kinda) is one of the few people she's had something of a happy interaction with.
I'd say it's not out of the question.

Seems that poor Evyle has lost her eye permanently. Perhaps she had to sacrifice it to the pandaemonium spirit(?) in https://www.neorice.com/hoh_3807

However, I really like her sardonic comment in the last panel... ("Stud Stallion" gives me the creeps)

Man, I'm disappointed by how Burk turned out.

@Fuz What do you mean?

43051: MyNomDePlume - Wednesday, August 7 2024 - 10:34 AM

I think what Fuz was getting it that we would see Burk go to town and solo the hero drop. I was hoping to see burk continue to do Burk things and just solo yolo the heros, I think neorice is trying to show us that, while powerful, Burk isn't invincible. I will admit I was hoping to see Burk do some more punching, but I won't pass judgemental just yet.

@KsCoPe: Had to give "Stud Stallion" a few points for not wanting to join in on the violent mob attack on Burk. Besides that, though, yeah.. wouldn't seem like the worst "hero" to lose his powers if Evyle has some sort of bluff-supporting trick up her sleeve.

Kinda funny that Evyle doesn't mention that she was the employer and immediate supervisor for the simp OR that she's the daughter of a Heroland top executive -- might've helped support a case for her taking custody. Guessing that she might not be proud to admit to either, though.

I'm looking forward to the many adventures this mysterious cool guy will partake in after joining Burk's party.

I'm calling it now: Evyle isn't bluffing. As long as she can clearly recall the contracts, she can still enforce them. That's why she didn't care that Vonesperda hid them out of reach, and that's why burning them was the very first thing she tried.

This would be another difference between the two espers: Morty needs the contracts to physically exist, Evyle just needs to envision them.

Burk had been fighting all day and Morty eventually found a way to hurt him with sound waves. Plus he had an disadvantage with the painting and his hostage.

We knew Burks wasn't literally invincible for a while now didn't we? At least since the pirate of the storm.
