I see his fellows are about as loyal as we expected.

Oh oh OOHHH!
Triple cross time?

Seems like everything he says is bad news for Melphred. This messenger is coming dangerously close to getting shot.

Just a thought: All these devices are magilante tech, right? They have no idea how those things work... what are the chances that Magilante has bugged every single one and is enjoying the show :D?

The rats run away

Is this the first time we get a good look at this adorable crab on the painting? It seems that that in all the previous pages, it was always at least partly covered by Dolk's speech bubbles.

For those that are impressed that a bunch of rich corporal executives are disloyal to each other like rats, that´s real life for you.

@WiseGuy. I'm not sure 'impressed' is the word I'd use, more like 'unsurprised' they were all threatening to throw each other under the bus when they thought they were in trouble before.
42816: Kiithnaras - Thursday, July 25 2024 - 12:31 PM
@Mousio This seems less like a triple-cross and more like securing a golden parachute for themselves.

Something about this level of mistrust and possible backstabbing is incredibly satisfying to watch.

@WiseGuy To be fair, Melphred screwed up, and screwed up a lot. Just what he blabbered out in front of Kaizer 12 should be enough to warrant an investigation and make the top suspicious.
And he already threatened to take them down with confidential material he possesses. At this point staying with him isn't loyalty, it's suicide.
