This page made me ask a question you probably wouldn't expect.

How is that ice fist staying up? It's planted into the ground by a single finger, how is it not toppling over from it's own weight?

What's the use of egg which cannot be impregnated? Tis but an empty shell ;)

"Sabrina" here is risking much trying to overcome this shell with brute, magical force.

If it breaks, then all right, but if not, the reflected shock wave could kill her (and make unsightly, calling for a close-casket funeral).

Well Piper can hear her so I'm guessing oxygen is still getting so going full pyro mode won't eat up all the air. But small space + fire while fun becomes much less fun when you can't get away from said fire or smoke then again mostly metal and concrete.

Okay, so it's not a freeze-time bubble; it's more like a forcefield.

Which, while very useful to shape a battlefield, isn't in itself sufficient to capture or kill an enemy. To reach said enemy, you have to be in the dome with them...

Sight and sound do travel through the dome, so attacks based on light rays or sound waves could be used, though.

Ah, so it's less of a time bubble and more of a cage match.

42112: Silver - Saturday, June 1 2024 - 10:18 AM

@Ghost we can't be sure about that.

All the cage has to do to allow sound is permit vibrations, it doesn't have to allow particles to get in or out.

If she can smell the outside on the other hand...

That all of course assumes that physics work the same in this world while also interacting with magic which I think is a big assumption.

@Saiko Piper is entirely immune to her own power, per her fight with her uncle that she must be returning from. I'm curious ad to how that one went si ce neither could magic the other directly.

I honestly wouldn't mind overmuch if Piper gets just a bit of a lesson in humility here.

@Melany

It's probably like an iceberg, bigger underground
like, not just a single finger is sticking in but a single finger is the only part that's visible above the ground.

I can't help but think the funniest outcome is a Hero recognizing where Piper's power is coming from and asking why they're trying to kill someone related to the Mage King.

42124: Kardwill - Sunday, June 2 2024 - 11:43 PM

Didn't they already recognise piper? Unless Scullybug's "Hell Piper" was a typo?
But murdering local royalty in cold blood sounds a bit extreme, even for an organisation as corrupt and ruthless as Herocorp

42137: sporf - Tuesday, June 4 2024 - 4:30 AM

@Kardwill It's not that they recognize Piper, it's just an acknowledgement of what she said her name was, not necessarily a realization of who she is. I think the fact that none of the 'heroes' have any idea what they are actually dealing with, is going to be a big part of what happens for 3 of our 4 heroes
