It's interesting that they're dressed in the same outfit with the same pattern, and have similar faces, but the spirit isn't identical. Different hair, both arms.
Maybe it's a relative.
Or something that's imitating an appearance Evyle had in the past, rather than her present appearance.

This does make some sense to me. Espers gain their power as a defensive reaction to surviving some type of magical assault. Interacting with Spirits in the world, Spirit-Binding Contracts and having a Spirit-Self all have that same Spirit connection.
Honestly, if the magic that assaulted Evyle to make her an Esper followed something akin to a Spirit Fey Mythology in our world, everything makes sense. And, since this Spirit-Self seems to be primarily bound inside of Evyle, it's likely the foundational ability that every other ability she has is built off of.
