Yeah I've been thinking about that too but at least at this point every story is on a cliffhanger so no matter what happens when we switch character something's getting resolved!

I can't. He took a bunch of students for this science experiment and not even students trying to to study this type of thing but instead students he's supposed to teach magic skills to... Which we've never seen him do. Thus far all we've seen him do is watch while students are in danger and have them fight constantly to prove their rank in a hierarchy which he declares himself the best at. A thing that seems to just push conflict between them. When a new student he's given needs more help with the basics than he thought his response is to just publicly state how disappointing and behind everyone else she is encouraging the bullying and harassment.
Zelmeyer should never have been put in charge of children. He seems to have done so so he can get the ego boost about being ranked 1 against children and to have a group of magic users that will not question him when he leads them into danger.
