Now Valiant, there are other types of relationship which won't necessarily benefit you. Commensalism, amensalism and parasitism come to mind. If she is an amensal or a parasite, you still will be harmed, but she doesn't want you dead - yet.

If she indulges in mutualism, you won't be harmed, but she benefits somehow. How - remains to be seen.
