Does it count as karma if it's a direct consequence of your action?

I will admit that I, like Burk, was hoping for a more cinematic final battle.

I think this is the first example of Burk changing direction in midair.

thats kind of what karma is considered. the result of your actions biting you in the butt. soemtimes some time after the action that lead to karma or other times instantly.

The only way how I can imagine this fight to take more than 3 pages is that the pandemonium powers take over Morty's body and it grows to become a total abomination. Like the typical boss fight, there are multiple health bars and Morty's bar is ... I guess tiny?

Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker starts to play. Random citizens in mini skirts start to do ballet in the background, while Burk keeps antagonizing the antagonist unceremoniously, but matching the music's rhythm.

I'm not gonna lie, him bleeding from his head and his skull cracking is really a very bad thing that should land him in the emergency unless he has something up his sleeve...

Fight isn't finished until Morty actually gives up, he needs totally broken glasses for that effect not only cracked lenses.

@Melany Burk is not changing direction in mid-air.

If you look at the the last two panels on the previous page, you can see that he started the jump in front of the lady (penultimate panel), was to the right of her in flight (ultimate panel), and is in the first panel of this page also to the right of her. So Burk was jumping left to right, not straight up.

The second panel of this page shows the speed trail of his SECOND jump, right to left, starting from where he landed to the right and culminating with hitting Morty.

@TheSomeoner And that's why what Morty just did is a war crime- lethal force is the only answer to a false surrender.

I like to imagine that Burk basically moves like a platforming game protagonist and just leans to adjust his midair position.

Oh, nice. Burk has a special that can be started during a jump. I wonder what his moveset looks like?
