Oh hi Pudu.

So many pages! You spoil us, Neo.
I absolutely adore seeing burk kick ass. And these fight scenes are so fun to watch and read. Id love to see more and longer ones
I guess tomorrow is about Piper ? it's been a while since the last time we saw her
@Sloss tomorrow is "The undefeatable Eviyee"
For everybody seeing the previous page header, without the chapter drop announcement, force reload the page / clear page cache (CTRL-R for chrome for example)
@Neorice I wonder if you would be able to post updated header images under a new address each time? Updating contents of http://neorice.com/images/logo_temp.png makes previous image to be presented from the cache for quite a long time. One way to solve it would be to use logo1.ong -> logo2.png etc
"The Undefeatable Evyle" and Pablo's group was just going off to fight Evyle, so... I'm guessing in the next chapter we're following Pablo.
it's too bad he's inevitably going to die in a later chapter, considering how burkesque he is
No spirit signature, huh?
Espers have no spirit signature either right?
You know it's a good thing every single opponent does nothing but belittle Burk while he deals with them effortlessly! It absolutely makes him look even more impressive and doesn't get painfully tedious as an obvious ploy to prop up a shallow character who lacks meaningful struggle or even much of an arc! I definitely wouldn't be 100% on the side of any villain who just said to him "I acknowledge you are BS levels of competent, I just hate you. So. Much."
...I do appreciate it that Burk chapters seem to drop all at once most often, at least. Having to sit through one page a day or less of this basically means not getting a comic for however many weeks.
@Someone
I didn't approve your comment as it's a bit too much of an attack on another *person* rather than simply reacting to their view.
If you disagree with another poster feel free to react to the *content* of their post & why you disagree, but try to remain respectful. :)
If Z2 wants to be critical of my work, that's fine.
Pirate of the storm acknowledged Burk pretty quickly, and more or less went all out in trying to deal with him.
His level of competency is hardly BS. While obviously high-teir, he was matched by Ariara, and lost a tooth that's still missing to this day. He was in total hide mode when dealing with the golem bros right afterward too. Furthermore, we know from the few times he does get hit dead-on that while his muscular durability is intense his dodge and roll style is his main defense against strong foes.
He can't take a ton of strong hits and his immunity is conditional. Maybe imagine it like his HP bar is mostly guarded by his Stamina bar instead.
His struggle and arc is more an internal mystery story as well, as unlike Tobi and Noah who are discovering the external world, he already knows more than the lets on and it is we the audience who discover more about him as the story goes on.
Propping up a character also is implying things about how a story necessarily has to work I don't think are true. A story doesn't need to have a protagonist suffer X number of times to have depth or meaning. (Though I suspect Burks suffered more than he lets on.)
Though I do agree that long actions scenes of this sort are better digested in bulk format.
@Mal I think there might be another category of supernatural abilities which Burk and Levin both belong to. It seems to be some kind of foresight or information harvesting ability that grants them preternatural reflexes and snipits of information.
This is why we simp for Pirate of the Storm
@Z2
Personally, I like Burk as a kind of Saitama-esque character (though not quite as overpowered): The real interest is less so Burk's/Saitama's fights against the villains, (though some of those have been exciting, too, imo,) but more-so the side-characters' struggles... That said, I do expect Burk to get his own arc sooner or later. I mean, we still don't know how/why he fell from the sky. Or who/what he is. There are plenty of mysteries surrounding Burk, and I, for one, fully expect Neo to address that eventually, much like how Rich Burlew is eventually going to have to address what exactly the Monster in the Darkness actually is.
@Zed
I hope we're going to see her again; she was a pretty cool villain and I generally just kinda liked her. I just hope she won't be a Ghoul the next time we see her. ^^;
Loving the drops.
I will admit that I'm starting to lose patience with Burk's Ultra Instinct dodge.
I like that he seems like a simpleton and is actually a very clever fighter, but most fights don't have a lot of twists.
It would definitely be nice how he fights the way the does.
