Called it: Infinighoul does not give a rat's ass that Tobi isn't crazy about him killing people, even if it is for her sake or the sake of the ghouls' agenda; he intents to kill people anyway.
In other news, it had not registered to me until just now that Infinighoul doesn't have a nose and, my, having no nose but a moustache and beard sure looks pretty weird, ngl.

One has to wonder how long time it'll take Tobi to realize that the ghouls motivations and constant references to her as "my king", "little king", "littlest king" etc. might somehow be related to her grandfather, King Baku, and not merely her given name, "Tobi B. King".

@Violet I don't think we've seen any way that Maria could know this. Going back and looking over a few scenes, I don't think Tobi's discussed Ghouls at all since entering the game itself (She and the Paladin discussed the Spirits, not Ghouls).
As far as I can remember/find, the only people other than Tobi/Three/Shalhia who were told (on-screen) Ghouls brought Tobi here were the Smile Foundation reps when Tobi first signed up.
So... could Maria be the "Host"?
