I like that Nail is tactful to use "us" instead of "you". The JSP would take a great offense in that, even if it is the plain truth.

Actually, i've been wondering about as to where all the civilians are. Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't whoever was responsible refuse to evacuate the town?

Circle around the fog? This assumes, that the talking fog is stationary and cannot circle around you. But, yes, I do not see another option than to try to evade the fog. - Did I just forget about some characters, or are there future characters in the incentive? (And why didn't the flying nightmares get a place in there? They are so /gut/ good at ripping to pieces.)
