Dont forget burk would have had to stick his bare arm into that acid filled mouth to do the same.
Sword guy looks to be more than just muscles fast and dexterous to have managed to cut each acid glob in half and get the sword into position to jam into the pigs mouth

On the plus side, canceling out the magic by killing the pig seems to result in also removing all the acid it spewed around. Hero guy's sword is perfectly clean, no green spew, no blood either.
It's kinda funny that the pig monster seemed to have been an envelope around the actual pig, rather than a transformation. Little dead piggy just appeared *above* the sword. It also does not seem to be wounded, though that could be explained as the sprite-like art style.

Sooo he cut the acid projectiles in two just to get to the pig? ...You know what, that's stupid, ridiculous, cool and stupidly ridiculously cool. I like it... Kinda makes me wonder what his sword is made out of though... It's probably made from skill. You know, like in anime, in which a master swordsman armed with a wooden sword can cleave through another person's steel sword just to prove how good he is.
