I know it's an artistic error, but I like the idea that Nightshade is speaking in a falsetto voice to himself to mock Cayetana. It would explain the look she's giving him in panel 1, too.

Now that I think about it, I don't remember if anyone got hit with that sludge in the first encounter. Maybe we can see what exactly it does. There are plenty of different types of venom.

I get the feeling Nightshade is trying to put the other heroes in danger, giving bad advice about attacking head-on to observe the acidā€™s effect. Or maybe Iā€™m just being pessimistic.
