Damn I thought the rss was bugged and checked just to be save. (Because i had that with some feeds in the past that they just sometimes spit out a bunch of old ones at once.)

I am still holding out hope that the arc will separate Noah from the empire because I am seriously getting tired of him being an henchman for Veda or the empire. The trouble is if he could Noah just would stop doing anything if he got out of the situation.

I don't understand why the empire hasn't evacuated haven long before now. How can they be so strong that it won't interfere with the propaganda to allow a "terrorist cell" to practically run the city, but so weak that they can't allow anyone to know that they need to evacuate.

Holy shit! When I checked my RSS reader I was ready to swear there was some bug in the feed. But you gave us 60 pages of sweet exposition. I really wanted more Noah content as well so this was a dream come true.

I also wonder what's the average length of Veda's species. I think we will see, she's too good a villain (?) to lose prematurely. She also had dreams, and now almost the means to realise them.

I think the bigger issue is that you just plain can't evacuate a city easily on short notice, and she had nobody on hand who even had the authority to do it, regardless of willingness.

The Empire probably reacted to the scenario very quickly, given the rampant violence involved. Their initial observations probably suggested destructive magic, so they may've gone searching for an expert in magic (like Malhart) to handle the problem before they really knew much more.

If Malhart managed to shut down the problem quickly enough by painting the city, then the Empire may've wanted to keep potential culprits in the city, within Malhart's painted area, rather than risk spreading the problem elsewhere. Maybe they could've come up with a clever plan if they had more data on the exact nature of the problem, though it's unclear how much they knew.

Long time reader, first time commenter and... wow... that was a power move.

Not just uploading an entire 60 PAGE chapter, but uploading it in-between daily updates, just... wow. And at first I said "oh, this makes sense, it's mostly exposition and Veda's talking a lot" but then, nope-huge WHAM of a thing.

Noah's my favorite, I can't wait to see where this goes.
