And that's when literally the entire room followed Pablo because the amount of Hubris in that room could be cut with a knife.

BURK!

I kinda worry that he's setting their hopes too high. What are the heroes going to think when he leads them to a group of bandits that Goldman could have *easily* beaten?
23984: mousio - Monday, December 7 2020 - 5:52 AM
now that's a nat 20 on your maxed out diplomacy skill check ;)
23985: Straightbackward - Monday, December 7 2020 - 6:39 AM
The weaponized pigs are no joke for Burk IIRC, so I don't expect it to be a walk through the park even with hero help. Moreso if other heroes are involved aiding the bandits. This is going to be fun.
I wonder how's Piper meant to keep up incognito once shit hits the fan.
23986: Violet - Monday, December 7 2020 - 6:45 AM
I wonder if the bandits are exactly like the ones in the first chapter, or if they have something up their sleeve?
23987: giovanni - Monday, December 7 2020 - 8:01 AM
i literally did not understand any of this
23988: Tor - Monday, December 7 2020 - 10:37 AM
You got to admit the balls on Pablo, lying to an entire room full of heroes like that.
But yes. At the same time. The Pigs was exceptionally dangerous. Is is likely not a fight you want to bring anyone to far beneath Burks weight class for.
Did... Did Pablo just invite them out behind the shed? I can't see this as anything other than an invitation to smokes and makeouts.

Ahem, not that I should tell you how to do this comics thing, but where is "Diplomatic weapon ###: EGO MANIPULATION"

@mousio
Let's see, assuming 5e and a lv 9 PC, the best i can do is:
-Race: Aereni High Elf (Doubles your proficiency bonus in one skill of your choice. For some ungodly reason, it stacks with...)
-Expertise (Rogue/Bard): x2 proficiency bonus to two skills of our choice.
-Channel Divinity: Voice of Peace (Oath of Redemption, Paladin 3): +5 to Persuasion checks.
-20 CHA
-Total: +4x4 +5 +5 = +26 bonus to persuasion checks, or 46 total on a nat20.

*B*old, *b*rilliant move still *b*ound to *backfire*

Ah yes, Pablo displays one of the foremost abilities of a true diplomat.
Talking out of his arse with a completely straight face.
