That IS the hero cat fight mentioned earlier in the news in another story line!
Heroes, cats, secret mission - its all here!

Oh? It seems even though Pablo didn't hear Skystroke's offer to Burk, he still thought of taking advantage of the heroes to round up the bandits. A fun way to show all the heroes' powers while we're at it.
Speculating, of course.

Oh god Burk is slick :D
Thats some balls. Enticing all the gathered heroes to work for him to sate their curiosity.

I know it's his cane and backpack, but in the last panel it looks like Pablo has a rather large hammer that the local heroes are just noticing. Do liverian diplomats get combine-able clockwork tech, too? That could open up a lot of new diplomatic weapons, heavy on the weapons

I approve of Pablo's diplomatic hammer.

I'm curious if this is related to the cat fight Tobi saw on the news. We can't assume that all three storylines happen at the same time, after all.

The Nightshade hero was absent from the catfight, as was Burk, and this situation doesn't look like it will end in a fight between the heroes. The catfight was probably just unrelated business as usual.

it's not a hammer, it's his staff and his backpack... for anyone who asked

@zaneanderman
Now i'm kinda hoping we get a strip where he combines the two to form a hammer. Even if that is unrealistic with the kind of buffer this comic tends to run.
