I wonder whether the trick is that they actually don't have to go all three together - after all, Smile was suggesting that it was possible to trade as an individual... so the other team might only send one person with one orange, while this team are sending three apples.
I also still think they should at least have asked to see another member of Levin's team - as it is, they might be trading with Levin as an individual. (As far as I can tell the scoring doesn't actually make that directly bad - you only lose out from people on *your* team making individual trades - but it might make the other team members seek an unbalanced trade to compensate them.)
I guess this computer chip thing does answer my question about whether practical difficulties might arise with carrying the fruit to trade (since it is rather difficult to carry hundreds of apples or oranges without a container).

Immediate after reading the minmum value thing is related to a computer: Can apples or oranges overflow/underflow?

it could be that since Red team is only 3, they'll only have 1 person to send in at a time.

@Nitrotetrazole
Well I've got a year worth of buffer already made & the story planned out quite far in advance so there's not a lot I can do to suddenly change the tone/pacing.
I do understand that some chapters or story arcs might not appeal to some readers as I don't really confine the story to a particular genre, so it can swap from survival/horror to a more escape room/sociological experiment type narrative.
