My guess would be Veda being the tall "guard".

I'm gonna wager a wild guess and say that "operation 'silent night'" does not involve giving people a pleasant little surprise by standing at their bedsides with trays of hot coffee/cocoa and freshly baked cinamon buns and then waking them up by singing "silent night"... I'm rather thinking this be something closer along the lines of the "night of the long knives."

It sounds like they're going to use Noah and constant surveillance girl's power for a mission, this implies Noah is good enough at finding and hiding presence or they're aware if his ability to enter the minds of living things.

im guessing that these two are the chosen candidates and everyone else has been rejected.
definitively

Well, while not exactly safe and cosy, this is better than most other obvious reasons why the royal guards might have grabbed Noah at night.
Based on his performance so far, I think he is going to have to work a bit harder on the "Silent" part of Operation "Silent Night".
21367: Mike - Wednesday, February 19 2020 - 6:32 AM
Anybody notice that the third guard from the right has the power to teleport to the back? He is clearly the most dangerous one, as the others did not notice, hmmmm
21368: SilentWrangler - Wednesday, February 19 2020 - 6:56 AM
Look at Noah's clothes! He got a promotion from "child magic soldier" to "child magic royal guard"!

Anyone else notice the tall one doesn’t have any markings on their mask? Perhaps they are finishing their training and will be cut down to size after they get their markings XD
21370: Tom - Wednesday, February 19 2020 - 11:08 AM
My theories:
1 - The operation involves getting them out of there ASAP.
2 - It's a test.
21371: Violet - Wednesday, February 19 2020 - 10:46 PM
Okay, now this chapter looks like it's going to be exciting.

I'm guessing intel operation. We've got Noah and creepy eye girl.
+1 to Veda guess.
