I'm not entirely following the Judge's explanation. Why is time a factor? How will things backfire onto Ariara? When is Piper likely to use magic in battle?

Ariara's entire plan is to make Piper do as she wants by threatening the judge in front of her;

If Ariara's put in a position where she has to fight Burk & Piper (who has similar powers to the judge) that might end badly for her; as the judge already badly damaged her arm.

Maybe she can summon her old tub this way. And the crew inside. That would probably help against heroes, both legal and illegal. I'd like to see Burk defeating a whole pirate crew.
