I don't know if this bird is a parrot, but pirates shouldn't be too choosy. With Ariara's power it probably can even fly.

Gold bird is obviously a duck and the Judge's favorite bathtime toy. Some kids never fully grow up.

The judge may have accidentally made a very useful decision.
castle is closed. Burk is outside where he can fight. Saving gerneral or other prisoner from execution is a heroic deed. = Burk in action and good results for judge's side.

I have a feeling that Burk is not going to get involved, and may instead be preoccupied with some totally (or comparatively) trivial matter. :)
