Lacey left some wire traps and then got bloodied af. I wonder how this happened.

This painting is a bit foreboding in hindsight. It seems as if Ludvig was the name of the piglet roasted to a fine gold colour.

So I assume Ariara killed most of the prisoners to show that she was serious about taking the castle, and also take away Ramien's means of escaping peacefully. Lacy probabaky escaped, and set up the wires to keep Ariara away.
