I think that, if used correctly, death bubbles would be terrifying in combat. Imagine how many people would resist popping seemingly harmless bubbles.

I'm liking this training more and more.
"Windows" is a great nickname of Noah. Possibly a metaphor or whatever, but it's still funny :D
10184: Neoriceisgood - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 3:14 AM
@John
I'll note that in this example the use of "death" is an exaggeration.
10185: John - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 3:29 AM
@Neoriceisgood
I guess I'm comparing this to a person, when i should be comparing it to other magic users, so yeah, i guess death bubbles would be kind of useless in combat, but more importantly, it would be a GREAT party trick.
Think of the all the children that a person with death bubbles could entertain.
Think of them and rejoice.

I wonder; do spirits take the form of sassy horned girls who replace your reflection?
10187: Flangan - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 5:45 AM
@neoriceisgood
the "death bubbles are like normal bubbles, so they can reflect "like a mirror or a window :D
you could reflect like a hologram of other with the "death bubbles" thus making the "enemy" unable to find you (the real you or ally) the the bubble mess.
fantastic for assassins, shooting weapons or just a party trick like @John said.

Ciel is light blue, Noah's is light green so I'm gonna guess no?
10189: Leo - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 8:03 AM
I would say that being able to transform a two-ton Sudden Sexy statue into a tiny thing you can carry in a pocket is a pretty epic power.
10190: CatHairPillAir - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 9:26 AM
Why did I only notice that now? WINDOWS! I'm dumb. Also that teacher guy loves to point with his finger...
10191: phyrex - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 1:07 PM
so i guess my question yesterday was useless as all things seems to be falling in place.
Im surprised you confirmed noah is pandemonium neo tho. to me it sounded like free magic with real fucking weird requirements.
But i guess pandemonium make sense too.
Also i feel like felix power is pretty damn good imo
10192: Neoriceisgood - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 1:23 PM
@Phyrex
I don't mind confirming stuff if I know it's not really a big deal/twist in-story. (and considering free magic is quite rare it won't show up that often);
The big thing with "free magic" is that those who use it can freely set their own requirements. Alex's book & Fuuka's roulette are self-placed limiters they invented themselves; Noah has no real control over his power being "mind" based.
10193: Storm - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 1:39 PM
At a minimum, they'll never be stuck in the dark again!
10194: P1 - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 2:16 PM
okcool.
10195: Leo - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 3:17 PM
@Neo
I thought until you said this that Noah had free magic and the instructors were mistaken in what power they thought Noah had.
I also didn't know that these were self placed restrictions, it makes sense for Noah, Fuuka and Alex all have free magic but free does not come without restrictions; Alex's is having to follow precise instructions, Fuuka has randomness, Noah has lucid dreaming within another's mindscape
10196: Reginald - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 3:24 PM
One question, though it may be important later, and, therefore, unanswerable. Is Felix's ability to transform objects into cards limited by actual strength or personal limitations? Would he be able to hold a city in a card, for example, but can't because he doesn't try, or is that simply beyond his powers?
10197: Neoriceisgood - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 3:53 PM
@Leo
For brevity's sake I didn't go into free magic too much yet, particularly as free magic's a bit more complicated than the other two.
@Reginald
I'm not gonna spoil too much as yeah, it'll come up when it'll be plot relevant; But his powers definitely has a few limits to it.
10198: The_Squished_Elf - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 3:53 PM
Instructor guy does NOT understand Felix's power at all. Felix would totally be able to disappear entire cities and "levitate" them. Just as long as Eloy doesn't knock the cards out of his hands first :P
That or he's just taunting him.
10201: Neoriceisgood - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 3:59 PM
@The_Squished_Elf
Just a little word of god: Eloy disabling Felix's power that easily is basically part of why he's in this class. :)
Felix's power would be devastating in the right *cough*Burk*cough* hands, that goes without saying.
10202: Enigman - Sunday, August 21 2016 - 9:57 PM
Death bubbles reminds me of the bubbler weapon from Cave Story, a pretty well designed attack. Bubbles would spawn and could be sent at enemies and, at its highest level, would float around Quote, doubling as an extra defense.
10203: Neoriceisgood - Monday, August 22 2016 - 12:19 AM
@Enigman
The bubbler was one of my fav weapons!
Lv.3 bubbler & lv.3 blade ftw.

I think Felix's power would be useful for spying and sabotage. He could get through locked doors and smuggle bombs in and important documents out. Problem is, I don't think Felix is particularly suited to subtle work.
