This "personalized test" doesn't seem to be very personalized...

She looks too young to have trained the Royal Guards from birth. Or did she just train them further?
10085: Neoriceisgood - Monday, August 15 2016 - 2:23 AM
Train them further & training some of the younger ones. Hard to brag by introducing nuance, of course.
10087: Epsiloh - Monday, August 15 2016 - 2:49 AM
These magic tests don't seem very safe
10088: Bisected - Monday, August 15 2016 - 2:52 AM
Twist: Erin's Burk's long lost sister.
10089: Zoomo - Monday, August 15 2016 - 2:54 AM
And thus ends Noahs story
10090: giovanni - Monday, August 15 2016 - 4:31 AM
well, thats seem....excessive
10091: Tom - Monday, August 15 2016 - 6:00 AM
Can Noah teleport in Erin's mind, like, real quick?
10092: Saiko - Monday, August 15 2016 - 6:46 AM
If not counting the (lack of) beard, she has more masculine jaw than Burk. Also, is apparently taller than most men here. Maybe she and Burk are of the same species?
10093: Neoriceisgood - Monday, August 15 2016 - 6:53 AM
@Saiko
While I love to just let people speculate, I'll just straight up say that Burk is human and not part of some weird "Burk" species.
10094: Hamste - Monday, August 15 2016 - 7:22 AM
@Neoriceisgood
I can't help but notice you didn't comment on Erin's species. Is she part of some weird "Erin" species?
10095: Angelenos - Monday, August 15 2016 - 7:23 AM
Ha ha ha, I love this scene. Erin is now my favorite character ha ha.
Also awesome effect for the windup Neo.
10096: Leo - Monday, August 15 2016 - 7:31 AM
He'n trying to trick us! Burk is definitely his own species; don't listen to these lies.
10097: Good Feelings Robot - Monday, August 15 2016 - 8:16 AM
@Neoriceisgood I guess she is the same species as Burk, then, so technically Saiko's theory is correct.
10098: Whimbrel - Monday, August 15 2016 - 8:29 AM
Catch the axe with your face, of course
10099: Neoriceisgood - Monday, August 15 2016 - 8:31 AM
@all I'm giving up on clarifying anything ever again.
10101: verycoolname - Monday, August 15 2016 - 9:10 AM
@Neoriceisgood Half the fun of speculating is coming up with weird theories that explain things but make no sense. Clarifying things and explaining stuff is nice but we are still going to assume silly stuff like this.
10102: Neoriceisgood - Monday, August 15 2016 - 9:21 AM
@verycoolname
Oh I know, I was being cheeky. :p
I was laughing my ass off at some of today's comments.
10103: phyrex - Monday, August 15 2016 - 10:41 AM
that dosent sound like a very safe test...
i forgot if noah needs to touch the person he wants to get into. if he does, he's in a bad spot
10104: -D- - Monday, August 15 2016 - 1:18 PM
Look on the bright side Noah, if you fail this test, you will be executed for using magic!
10105: random - Monday, August 15 2016 - 2:14 PM
The first test is quite simple:
We are going to axe you something...
10106: Soup - Monday, August 15 2016 - 4:11 PM
Given the magic used by Erin, I'd say it's a very safe test. Excruciating and traumatic yes, life threatening, probably not.
10107: LuKo - Monday, August 15 2016 - 6:17 PM
Well Noah... you can still try to enter the axe's mind... ...you've got nothing to lose... except... you know... your head.
10108: Leo - Monday, August 15 2016 - 7:34 PM
@phyrex
he doesn't have to touch 'em
10109: TheMasterOG - Monday, August 15 2016 - 7:36 PM
Noah's face in the last panel... He is just so incredibly over it xD
10110: Reginald - Monday, August 15 2016 - 7:54 PM
I think the test would be more informative if it didn't require near-immediate reaction time. Anyone who needs to focus in order to utilize their magic would be instantly "disqualified". That may, however, be Erin's point: having trained the Royal Guard, she clearly values extreme agility over purely calculated action. This also means the test is "personalized", but for Erin, not the test-taker.
10111: pokemonster2 - Monday, August 15 2016 - 8:56 PM
The axe is probably enchanted with something that makes sure people can't die when being hit with it. Or it's an illusion.
10112: Flangan - Monday, August 15 2016 - 10:34 PM
there once was a man. he was a normal human. he then ascended into the most awesome most handsome and strongest "thing" in the world. that man gave himself the name Burk. so Burk > human = Burk race XD
10114: -D- - Tuesday, August 16 2016 - 3:39 AM
@Whimbrel: Catch it N(appa)oah, catch it with your face! Like a dog!
