I think that Tobi shouldn't be too surprised. After all different kinds of balls on chains are standard dungeon obstacle.

Back to ground level? Are you sure you wouldn't rather jump on the ball, then climb its chain up to the crane arm, and from there climb down to the cabin?

I'm still confused how they managed to get a demolition crane in this container yard, but it does seem to be an effective acrobat-herding tool.
