Aw, what a lovely art style. I really like this. The faces are great—especially in 5, 7, 11, 13, and 14. Everyone's adorable!

videogame logic dictate that details should be reserved for relevant stuff

Nice page! Liking the coloring, Adilli's sprite, the dialogue, and, of course, the exposition.

Wow, I did not expect the last page to be a chapter-ender! I'm still so curious about this protective magic dude.

An archaic Tobi arc appears! I like all of Adilli's expressions so far.

Finally putting those detailed faces to use, I see :P

So they can suffer from bleed damage!

except there is no bleed damage

Personally, I'm not too much of a fan of the hi-def faces, but I can see mine is an unpopular opinion. They'll probably grow on me.
Great comic as ever, though.

@Jack Morgan
I expected them to be more controversial than they are.
I've added them for a good reason though, while this type of scale mixing is heavily frowned upon in the pixelart community I like getting my inspiration & feedback from all strides of art communities.
Most artists/people I've asked for feedback on my comic who weren't readers were actually quite turned off by the highly zoomed versions of the sprites. (and couldn't understand the expressions at all)
For me personally the higher level of detail will allow me to make characters more expressive as it allows subtle details the older versions flat out didn't allow. So even if there's a 50/50 rate of people liking/disliking it the net result would still be positive?
I hope they'll grow on you though!

Nice to know some people don't know basic anatomy.

So Tobi is not in the same world with Burk? In the first Burk story, didn't those boars bleed?
