I would not be surprised if she could end other players through other means. Like they did it with the unlucky "Smile" player.

Unless the universal keycard needs her to be alive, Shalhia could do without the game host.

Since this game is a front for an experiment, I assume they didn’t plan on including the soulmate mechanic so I think they didn’t automate the if one blue player dies the other one dies too process.

Assuming it exists the universal keycard is likely some combination of a fingerprint and voice sample or some other two-factor biometric shenanigan. Otherwise if say Levin knocked out Maria and looted her pockets he'd have the keycard, which defeats the point of Maria having one.

Well, I guess we know how Shalhia dies just outside of the door. Unless those premonitions can be avoided with knowledge.

So anyone else think Maria would be the one to shoot Shalhia in the back of her head in her vision?

@chaosenjoyer: I can't help but feel that Maria is no less trustworthy perse, than Shalhia who will earn money for every player killed and is lying about her role. Or, say, Foxy, who's betrayed everyone who's trusted her and attempted murder at least once already. I could go on.
