Export.

Lets go, export produce.

28119: yes - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 12:51 AM

All of the above!

28120: Solarn - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 12:55 AM

Not even being allowed to talk about what's illegal, huh? I wouldn't have been surprised to hear the laws in any of the nations we've seen so far being set up so as to confound people's ability to follow them, but even international laws? Damn, the world of Hero Oh Hero is a real shitty place. The one thing all these nations constantly at each other's throats agree on is that they need the ability to arbitrarily arrest anyone they want whenever they want.

28121: SFrip - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 12:55 AM

Smile is missing from the picture, I wonder why that is.

28122: Brilliand - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 1:03 AM

I'm going to guess... Black Crystal. We've seen that being secretly used by a government in Noah's arc, and it's easy to believe that the Dark Continent is the only source considering how illegal it is.

Guns and limbs strike me as things that can be made locally. Elixir, Mystery Meat and Fairy Dust haven't shown up in the comic yet, so I doubt they get traded with any regularity.

28123: Zyzyzyryxy - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 1:11 AM

Quite sure this will be "all of the above", given legal objections this raised.

28124: Straightbackward - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 1:54 AM

Sooo... This is the kind of question noone wants to get right? Like asking a criminal who did the crime?

Also... Green, Shalia, Middle Finger and Three got 4/4 so far.
I'm not that surprised about Shalia and Green(he was hinted to be a GO member), but Levin? Surprisingly savvy.

Also... I dunno, I thought guns were a magilante thing, and bionics sounds hi-tech as well. Since I've no clue about that stuff, I'll say all of them. Maybe it's a trick question as in Tobi's words. Also, what a better way to instill fear into the "all\none of the above" options than having a question with such answer.

Also... Are we supposed to have the smile player in the winners side? 5=6, therefore 0=1 therefore cows can fly Q.E.D. :P

28125: TheMegax - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 3:56 AM

Theory time:
- Levin has artificial limbs so he can make his superhuman jumps and cheat at the death games. Ariara's magic-infused artificial arm comes from the same place.

28126: A - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 6:07 AM

Is Tobi thinking about her friend that lost her arm when she hears this...?

28127: Brilliand - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 6:41 AM

This definitely feels like an "all of the above" question on a meta level, yeah.

28128: Theon - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 7:00 AM

Is the Dark Continent also the Lost Continent?

28129: Violet - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 7:35 AM

I've noticed that Three, Shalhia and Mr. Green have all gotten every question right so far.

Unsurprising for the latter two, given that they both work for the GO, but it says something about Three. I wouldn't have expected an escaped experimental weapon to be this well-informed.

28130: Tom - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 9:18 AM

The world building conga line keeps on keeping on.

@Violet - Well spotted.

28131: Abbie - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 9:45 AM

So I made a mistake in not going with the most obvious answer. But at least I got right that Fox would get it right. Maybe instead of guessing on the answers I should guess who gets the answers right. :p ...I'll guess that paladin and 3 know the answer to this, and maybe Levan, stubble guy, and pigtails.

28132: Whim - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 9:53 AM

ALL OF THE ABOVE

28133: Agent_Cook - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 10:04 AM

I love excellent spritework and also excessive worldbuilding. I'm gonna miss this

28134: UnknownID - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 10:59 AM

Three is pretty good in this game :O

I'd choose all of the above. Let's see if it applies this time

28135: Questionable Intent - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 11:04 AM

@SFrip That made me think that there is another possibility. No one said you have to answer the questions, so maybe Smile simply didn’t put down an answer. That is relevant this round because of what the Paladin said, the whole no discussion of the dark content being allowed anywhere even in Lorg, so the right answer here maybe to not answer at all?

I doubt that is the case so I will still vote. Even if I am arrested shortly after.

it could’ve be the dark crystal export or the cybernetics, can’t be the guns because magilante, and the other products wouldn’t be good enough on their own to gather interest on their own from their limited supplies.

Except maybe Mysterious Meat which has no description at all.....

I vote Red Green.

28136: Strannik - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 11:17 AM

page 1618, Noah is reading a book about the dark continent.

It seems it's also called "loste Continent" too.

there are elves there, so elves blood might me a good answer. and elves do resort to cannibalism, so mystery meat is also possible.

there is a myriad of little kingdoms there, so it's doubtful there is a centralised industry.

And since the illegality of the question may make of it a trick question, "all of the above" may be the right one.

28137: Keinname - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 12:22 PM

Hmm, not sure what to vote. I'd say "all of the above", but... i kinda doubt the dark continent manufactures gu- wait, Smile confirmed that they DO have the best tech for artificial limbs, so guns should be a piece of cake. Is the misleadingly-named nation of Magilante from the Dark Continent?

Anyways, i seriously doubt the "civilized" continents would have any sort of use or demand for "mystery meat".

Black Crystal would be my second guess, but gold is a cheaper, much more available and socially accepted alternative for magic protection.

Artificial Limbs are useless as export products, since they probably don't come packaged together with the famous dark continent surgeons.

The Longevity Potion is likely desired by some rich and powerful folks reluctant to leave the mortal coil. But i don't remember any mention of any such people being suspiciously old up until this point, so that's also out.

Drugs are obvious, but this particular one is lethal, so most people are likely smart enough to stay away from it.

Justopea could probably get all the Elf Blood they want, if they even want it in the first place.

Finally, there's the wildcard Fairy Dust, which hasn't been mentioned up to this point (i think).

So, i vote for guns.
They are confirmed to have robo-limbs, so they have the technology for it, and we saw guns be used in several places, and they are obviously in high enough demand and quantities to warrant illegal intercontinental trade.

28138: Zed - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 2:10 PM

I doubt it's guns, or else the existence of guns in general would raise more concern when they appear if it's illegal to trade for them.

28139: TheMegax - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 2:39 PM

@Keinname
I disagree with a few points

1. Mystery meat might be considered a... er... delicacy for some rich folk.
2. It's possible that the longevity potion is either a scam or reverses aging. Either way, no suspicious aging.
3. The "V" drug has been on this comic already, see https://neorice.com/hoh_tobi_553. There's clearly a market for it.
4. Guns seem mildly harmless in regards to everything else on this list.

You do raise a good point though: As the way Smile phrased it, these products are trades and surgeons are a service, not a product.

28140: Whispers of Sorrow - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 3:05 PM

I keep forgetting to guess. Woe is me! :(

But I'd say all of them for this one.

28141: MatthewTheLucky - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 3:51 PM

I'll say it's all of the above, seeing as this world seems to have a healthy smuggling industry

28142: someone - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 6:11 PM

@Questionable Intent
Then if it's correct, why is he not in the winners? Don't say such things. The absence is a mistake in the comic. I really hope you're not seeing hidden lore in other mistakes.

28143: King Random - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 6:33 PM

Mystery Meat! Consume teh flesh and becom emortal

28144: Paintr - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 6:40 PM

It was certainly implied that Magilante is the only supplier of anything 'high tech' in a traditional sense, so it's likely not all of them.
Plus, if they can make guns across a whole continent I doubt people would have cared about Tobi's tech vision as much.
Going by that assumption it can't be the all of them and the further widespread nature of dark crystal already, (lorg was using them for deathgames) I'm going to guess it's the longevity potion.
Everything else feels like it comes from everyone from somewhere else either additionally of exclusively.
But this is a tricky one...

28145: ShroomTurtle - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 6:49 PM

I mean we already know elves are related to the lost continent in Noah's story, so I think elf blood is a safe bet

28146: Sir. Orc - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 7:07 PM

Mystery Meat doesn’t really make sense to trade for unless it’s something like ghoul meat that would give special effects, and there’s been no mention of it, so that seems unlikely.

V has only been shown to be used in Lorg really, and it’s likely only of interest in the underworld circles.

Elf Blood may have magical properties, but so far no one has been shown using it. It and Fairy Dust seem perhaps too mythical and mysterious to be a commodity so valuable that many countries illegally trade for it. Same with the longevity potion.

That leaves, guns, black crystal, and cybernetics.

The Justopean military has easy access to guns, and are super xenophobic. People don’t like trading technology such as radar to them, so it seems likely that if they have guns, they can make them themselves, and thus so can others.

The limbs are not exactly things you can easily hide, and as mentioned above they require a surgical expertise to implement. Magilante tech is on par with this for what is shown, and things like television and the Wu Cha don’t get remarked on, so that eliminates this option.

That leaves Black Crystal. Black Crystal is something that people go to great lengths to acquire (as the empire did) and often is employed in dubious circumstances (such as with Red Mind). It’s manufacture and properties make it ideal as a black market good that international governments might secretly trade for. Thus I would say it’s the answer for this question.

28147: Baha - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 7:58 PM

Presumably, since the Veda Project uses it and it is now illegal, black crystal is indeed traded secretly by gov. that leaves only green-red or yellow-red as options. as @Keinname pointed out, we've seen guns used too; so either theres a falsehood in that these things are illegal at all (dubious) or they are all illegal.

unless theres a hard twist in here. im pretty sure its 'all of the above'.

28148: Anthony - Tuesday, October 19 2021 - 8:07 PM

I would note that the question says 'nations'. Artificial limbs, drugs, elf blood, mystery meat, and fairy dust all seem more like things individuals would negotiate for. In terms of things governments would want, in small enough quantities that their smuggling would not be detected, I'd go with black crystal.

28158: Reasonable Intent - Wednesday, October 20 2021 - 12:35 AM

@Someone I am not a part of the discord nor do I know any of the social media the comic creator uses. It maybe reasonably presumed that smiley missing was a mistake, but with my limited information I was merely trying to think outside the box. My apologies if the comic creator stated that it was a mistake.

28162: Potatopeelerkind - Wednesday, October 20 2021 - 1:56 AM

The paladin practically gave you the answer for that last one, Tobi. Yeesh.

I got burned by the All of the Above answer before, but I'm going for it again anyway.
