You're sweet

That's what you get for helping people, Tobi.

17003: Datren - Friday, April 27 2018 - 12:25 AM

Someone is making a huge mistake here, and I don't think it's Tobi.

17004: Saiko - Friday, April 27 2018 - 12:33 AM

Justice has been served.

17005: Your airconditioner - Friday, April 27 2018 - 1:26 AM

Uh-oh.

Aside from that, there isn't much to prevent our short Rauel-born hero from pressing the other buttons and hopefully skid-daddling before the bomb goes off.
I mean...this isn't a farfetched plan that totally forgot a few details, right?

17006: Z2 - Friday, April 27 2018 - 1:28 AM

Is that a coil wrapped around Tobi there in that last panel? Is she doing some kind of slingshot maneuver here that's difficult to visually recognize because wacky hair powers? I kinda don't think she's betraying Tobi if only because that would be aggressively stupid and rather pointless.

17007: TheMegax - Friday, April 27 2018 - 3:42 AM

Is, by any chance, the code of the pod '799'?

17008: Straightbackward - Friday, April 27 2018 - 3:42 AM

The escape pod is not actually the only way save them. It may be wishful thinking, but I want to believe that, this whole mess has to have a three people solution.

It makes sense, they are problem solvers after all, and not every problem has an unique solution, even if Mr. Happy Face isn't all that helpful suggesting that (well, duh).

I DO like this situation, foxgirl ready for fighting for survival, even if the situation becomes sketchy(er). I mean, foxgirl would MOST likely RIP Levin when the oportunity rises, and Levin should know that and would only help her escape due to the physical threat he'd be into. I mean, this is what the TRUST game is all about, but up to now every challenge has been curtomized to suit every player one way or another... ahh... greed is good (and prevalent over wisdom).

17009: TheMegax - Friday, April 27 2018 - 3:48 AM

Wait, no. The code is left right right.

17010: someone - Friday, April 27 2018 - 3:49 AM

None of that followed from what Tobi said. Where does "race to survive" include "take his place"

17011: LimaHotel - Friday, April 27 2018 - 4:11 AM

Called it. God damn it, can't the untrustworthy obvious backstabber but seems friendly trope EVER not turn out to be a backstabber? Sorry, I re-watched supernatural recently and I'm still pissed at just how obviously and poorly they handled the character of Ruby.

17012: Liack - Friday, April 27 2018 - 6:09 AM

Let'S just hope that shove won't "Hurt" Tobi, since the floor wasn't rainbow colored...

17013: Bisected - Friday, April 27 2018 - 6:38 AM

She's gotten herself into a hairy situation.

17014: Anonymous Person - Friday, April 27 2018 - 6:53 AM

First you wonder why Levin screwed you over unnecessarily, then you shove Tobi into the pit despite there being room for both of you? What, are you going to get the code from Levin somehow? Would you really rather work with him than Tobi? Ugh, what a jerk.

17015: Saiko - Friday, April 27 2018 - 7:01 AM

@someone
Foxgirl assumes that she will be too slow, and ultimately Tobi would ditch her, if only to catch Levin (who probably doesn't have incentive to wait for any of them, the pod can get off with only one passenger, presumably).

17016: SomeGuy411 - Friday, April 27 2018 - 7:55 AM

Toby's floor appears to be closed now. Presumably, the door is still open on the other side, since the close one is, or can otherwise be reopened. Advancing AWAY from the bomb is a good idea right about now

17017: somebody - Friday, April 27 2018 - 8:58 AM

This makes absolutely no sense.

17018: Silver - Friday, April 27 2018 - 9:12 AM

I guess what I assumed would happen last page, happened just now...

17019: Mohegan - Friday, April 27 2018 - 10:39 AM

All of this totally fits with what we know about Fox, it's Lorg. You don't survive being a nice person, and especially not by putting your neck on the line for some random short person you met on a game show.

17020: Guest - Friday, April 27 2018 - 2:59 PM

I really don't understand Bea here. She is too slow to stop Levin. By herself, Levin takes the pod for himself(very obviously his plan in dunking both of them) and Bea is trapped. With Tobi, Levin might be delayed long enough for Bea to reach him.

17021: Saiko - Saturday, April 28 2018 - 2:28 AM

This makes perfect sense, and Tobi makes a mistake by reminding how Levin can be useful. Obviously, Foxgirl considers him more useful than Tobi. She also thinks he will need her or Tobi, so Tobi is a direct competition. We don't know what is after the door - Levin probably has some obstacles to overcome.

17022: TheMegax - Saturday, April 28 2018 - 9:25 AM

People here are arguing about if this makes sense or not... I say, kill Levin. And make fox lady to kill Levin, for extra gore.

17023: Agent Cook - Saturday, April 28 2018 - 2:01 PM

Whoever thinks this doesn't make sense has not been paying attention.
"Selfish" is more than an adjective in this place, it's a way to live.

17024: Straightbackward - Saturday, April 28 2018 - 2:32 PM

@Guest My reading on the situation is: Bea has no clue about what the pod's password can be (heck, it is nicely hidden from us) AND Tobi suggests that said code has already been given.
In Bea's mind: Two of us three will have to stay and die. Levin knows the pass to operate the pod. Levin chooses who lives. Levin prefers Tobi. Without Tobi I will live. Further problems can be solved trough MIGHT/INTIMIDATION. (A.K.A: Levin will piss his pants once he sees me alive)

She probably has not had much more time left to think about anything, she has fallen a (humanly) deadly height and probably feels like a cornered animal (heh), she WILL survive, damned be logic.

17025: Guest - Saturday, April 28 2018 - 2:49 PM

@TheMegax
Meh. Just stuffing his severed head in the fridge should be plenty...

17026: Pete - Saturday, April 28 2018 - 2:51 PM

Hmm agree with the doesn't make sense side. Well maybe the next pages will make it make more sense as a plan.

17028: Potatopeelerkind - Saturday, April 28 2018 - 4:03 PM

@Agent Cook But to be selfish, you need to be gaining something. Tobi has already established she's not going to leave Fox alone even if she really could, and if Fox eliminates Tobi now she gets rid of the only person who might be willing to fish her out of more holes in future. There's a reason why the people who group up win the Hunger Games- I don't see how this game is much different.

17029: Sporf - Sunday, April 29 2018 - 6:03 PM

@Potatopeelerkind She is gaining something. She's gaining what she assumes would have been Tobi's spot in the pod. Tobi suggested that they both remove Levin but Fox assumes Tobi would end up leaving her behind. It might be rationale to assume that she could trust Tobi over Levin, but that's a long term gain in a situation that the short term is currently more important. I'm not saying it's the best decision (obviously from our outside view it isn't) but it's an easily understandable rationale none the less.

17033: Potatopeelerkind - Monday, April 30 2018 - 12:53 AM

@Sporf If Tobi wanted to leave Fox behind, why would she have fished Fox out in the first place? If she wanted she could have just left Fox in there and left, no problem. It makes no sense.

17039: Sporf - Monday, April 30 2018 - 7:19 AM

@Potatopeelerkind It doesn't matter why Tobi does anything, all that matters is immediate survival. Fox likely even believes that Tobi is on the level, but doesn't think there'll be time to fight with Levin. There is a time limit and they are both behind on it. Ultimately Fox believes that it will come down to being either her or Tobi that survives to the next test and Fox is injured so she's taking the advantage where she can. Your'e still looking at it from the outside and have outside knowledge of Tobi and her personality and propensity for teamwork. Fox only has the immediate situation and concerns to go on.(As well as the background of growing up in a place where altruism and true cooperation is a bit of a foreign concept)

17072: Straightbackward - Wednesday, May 2 2018 - 8:44 AM

@Sporf Well explained, given the situation and background Fox's actions make sense.
