Imagine the applications of those hearts in actual battle! The fighters could get killed, then stand back up and keep fighting!
The concepts featured on this page are astounding Neorice.
I like how you incorporated the health-hearts and provide sound reasoning for their application. I also like how you gave Alex a book, which suits her quite well as a spellcaster, but also works well with her ability that is based on imagination.
She could be holding a journal with a list of abilities she's used before, a copy of her favourite comic A Path to Greater Good, or a chemistry book.
I also suspect Mia is going to do relatively well under the circumstance, considering that she has a versatile weapon coupled with an ability that improves her physical abilities.
All in all I'm thoroughly enjoying this. ^_^
