It's kind of hilarious, the whole "clinging to bits of a weird cat drone hurling through the air at an uber nightmare through the rain of blood" thing is patently ridiculous, yet Noel's just doing it with nothing but calm determination, a "been there done that" attitude.
Catz well and truly is an experience, it seems.

Catz has shown to be versatile/smart, in the form of using a cannon to shoot themself across a field that freezes magic in time almost immediately after encountering it.
...But in the same arc/chapter shown to dive headfirst into danger and underestimate it repeatedly. This is all still in character for Catz.

Do keep in mind that Catz is not actually here, so their options are extremely limited.
Jumping in makes sense. Ranged attacks have proven to be ineffective, Noel needs to get closer, and Nail got wrecked. It's obviously risky, but at this point, they have to take risks to get anything done.

Also in defense of Catz. They may not even be aware that the Hallowman has the knife. There's a lot going on here and this is all happening over the course of a few minutes. There's also likely limited visibility here with whatever is going on in the atmosphere of this dimension.
