These past few pages make me wonder if there is some fundamental miss understanding about Chernyl’s powers. Maybe she doesn’t create nightmares per se, but her dreams allow a type of hostile spirit to physically manifest the world, sort of like what would probably happen to Lorg if the dungeon monsters from Tobi’s hometown started leaking out into the surrounding desert.

So if the Nightmares would go so far as to be used as a weapon just to get of the island and kill as many people as possible, how is that not the bigger picture?

Noel mentioned in his conversation with daddy that the Nightmares would die along with her, and daddy seemed to agree.
On that topic, I wonder if the Nightmares would used the immortality drug mentioned in page 2147 on Chernyl.
