He laughs at it all.
Fun fact: The last few Noah chapters were meant to be largely comedic in tone.
I feel that didn't quite come across to readers so I used this page to spell that out more explicitly.
Wait the statue? As in the **fancy legs** ?
I can't think of any other statues stuck in limbo at the moments... Unless they mean Veda, since we never really learned what she was.
Nail, Gaston, Catz, who else is left to stand even a ghost of a chance?
So we have a person for each descriptor except The Statue. Maybe thats Veda?
The statue might be Gaston?
Anyway my prediction is: Noah enters the mind of the Hallowman. Seems like that act would provide enough wiggle room for the author to write a good ending.
I think I get the joke now. Lookit Noah's silly face! Hah.
Faceless one must be Nail.
Esper must be Noel.
Cat can probably be assumed to be Catz, I mean, who else?
Statue, though, that's harder. Perhaps Mr Kimberly, as he can create a shell of petrified slime. Would be a good fit for "being stuck in limbo", he's safe while he's inside but he can't exactly do anything but wait.
Statue? Maybe Malhart. He is stuck between life and death, and is statuesque.
The statue being Malhart sounds plausible. Certainly the best guess atm.
