I do not trust that guy with mismatched hair and skin colours in panel 1. It might just be that heā€™s looking straight at the page where we usually see characters from a more side on perspective but heā€™s creepy.

That one guy in the first panel kinda reminds me of a biology body models that show the placement of all the organs and such. I hope that's what it is and not just a creepy half-skinnned man

I donā€™t think they should trust any easy exit along that vent. Sclaramancer can just send a couple minions to collect them and there would really not be anything they can do about it.
