Delightful chomping.

Oh look, daddy has a mouth.

I was wondering how he actually ate kids.

I honestly figured he collected human body parts without actually eating them? or he just forced his guests to eat them before harvesting them too

glad to finally (somewhat) understand how his face works though

I can only say that the nightmare chapters are reaching levels only describable as lovecraftian

Chernyll needs to see a serious doctor specialist in trauma to fix her nightmares when this is over.

Daddy soooo excited!

Its suggestion reminds me of the Rottenbug cannibal story. How did Noah fit into the meal, though?
Jokes aside, I love Noel keeping calm and being able to 'reason' with Daddy.

No pls ;_;

Chernyl would write awesome novels.

1. Eat Noel and Noah now, but be never again able to eat children.
2. Help Noel and Noah, but, after their failure, be never again able to eat children.
3. Help Noel and Noah, and after their success be able to eat children again.

Decisions, decision!

I'm more spooked by seeing Daddy grow an extra head.

@Lanth Lovecraft was rarely this explicit, more suggestive.
Primal fears in his Dreamland works were less talkative as well. The nightgaunts, arguably the embodiment of "someone is touching you without your permission" distilled from any context, were faceless and silent and didn't kill you themselves, but tickled you into submission then flew carried you off into the sky and left you somewhere dangerous.

@zet

Wasn't it unconfirmed whether she only brought her own nightmares to life, or the nightmares of others?

32629: Strannik - Monday, July 18 2022 - 12:20 PM

@Virovac : i agree, Lovecraft wasn't into body horror, more "there are horrible things beyond your comprehension"

@Lanth

There are certainly many similarities, but it would be impossible to not have them when it comes to the nightmare theme. For example the Scleramancer - for whatever we know - is similar to the Dweller in the Gulf from Cthulhu Mythos (the Dweller steals eyes of its victims, and makes said victims his worshippers/servants in the process). I wonder if its appearance and "extraction" method would be similar.

@zed: Hm, I don't know. I was under the impression it's her nightmares that come true... but you might be right about that this is not clear.
