I wonder if the hands are gonna grab someone when they climb the ladder

It's gonna be hard to climb the ladder without ever looking in the direction of these things' face. It means the start of the climb you have to look downward and fumble blindly as you can't look at the rungs above you. Then at some point you have to close your eyes completely. You can see that one of the Nightmares is in front of the ladder. Their faces will probably look in the direction of the wall, not the Nightmares.
Also, climbing a ladder blind is not that hard, opening the drain while on the ladder and to get all the equipment out will be more difficult.
