Noah, you weren't interested in any of this to begin with, or anything at all for that matter. None of this was voluntary. When did you start thinking you had a say in the matter?

I know that you have no sense of diplomacy, Noah, but do you understand the concept of being in danger?

...is still a bit dense, isn't he? Whelp, like all of his friends not understanding that they are nothing more than tools.

Anybody else getting the feeling that Mr. Delian isn't terribly comfortable either?

Veda had too much vine as it seems. Telling your "tools" that they belong to you, isn't the best way to bind them to you. :D

Maybe making the one who wants nothing to do with y’all a master spy isn’t the best idea

I love how throughout the entire story Noah has maintained this attitude of "why does this stuff keep happening to me" snarkiness. Burk just kinda rolls with everything, and Tobi's used to adventures even in an unfamiliar environment, but Noah wants absolutely nothing to do with any of this chaos and I absolutely love it.

@UnknownID - She isn't trying to. In a strict hierarchical system, reminding people who is the boss if they start forgetting it can nip problems in the bud.
Noah having a particular skill for coasting along and ignoring uncomfortable reality until it smacks him in the face, bringing him up short here is absolutely the right thing to do.

Oh, Veda, if only you knew. Noah's already been networking, and has absolutely spied on you without your knowledge. He's hit master spy levels really quite quickly.
