I wonder how many comments there will be about that misspelling?
Else, its rarely the art i come here for, but in this case its actually outstanding. Especially on such a limited medium.

I see Gazz has remembered the most important part of this process: Loudly announcing what he is doing to his opponent.
Meanwhile, I am more worried about what is going on at the other side. Unless Noah has some big insight (presumably without the help of Ciel) and the ability and motivation to take advantage of it, it looks like the group are getting taken to Malhart.
Though that may not be such a bad thing for their actual mission: if they just escaped now then they would be pretty much back to square one.
(Similar vibes like Garen and Katarina in League of Legends)

@Tor
Ugh, tell me about it! Doesn't Neorice know it's spelled "can haz"?
Also liking the art! The artist really seems to have a handle on the style. It is easy to pooh-pooh low-resolution low-realism(as in photo-realistic) art but... They say that a picture can tell a thousand words. If you just want to spam nice-sounding prose, then you go high-res and high-realism and have some gorgeous sunset hanging on a wall lending majesty to a room in a way that, say, a panel from Order of the Stick just couldn't. If, however, you have a SPECIFIC thousand words to tell then you need to drop the resolution and increase the symbolism to add clarity. I have seen comics that attempt high-resolution and high-realism with computer-generated graphics, and... they are just inferior. They make great splash-pages and scene-setting but the lack of contrast leaves depictions of activity to be horrifically clunky.

Fleau Justicier has finally risen!
I'm glad Gazz is continuing to level up in Anime Protagonist.
He really needs those class bonuses to Blood Capacity.

This shows why Gazz does so well in class he hears how to do a trick once and two strips later he gets it on his first try. It's why the Empire pays him the big bucks...um ...lets him live.

I'm a tad worried that'll be lethal, since sharp sword.
That'll make things go wrong pretty quick most likely.

I'm worried specifically about it being a sword, myself.

Man, I don't care if Gazz loses anyway or not, but the second panel looks amazing!

It's noteworthy that Gazz's "swod" looks more clean and refined than her morning star
Just shows that he has some kind of natural talent for magic

@MCRedCreeper
Just in general terms a sword usually has a more refined look than a morning star because it's an easier shape to forge. Not saying you're wrong, just voicing a fact that may or may not be relevant.

I'm pleased by the fact that the last panel makes it look like Gazz is prancing toward her. At least if you look at just the lower half of his body.
My new head cannon is that that's how he moves in a battle.

@Nathan400 & MCRedCreeper
Also might be something to do with his experience with swords. Not sure if his skill with magic is as relevant as his knowledge of both what a sword is, and how it feels.

Gazz has learned focus, cover, surge, sense and create weapon so he should be learning the 3 special ones after the mission

The anime is strong with this one.
But I don't care - SPIRIT SWORD.
In before she actually knows how to mask herself.
He clearly has a swoargh, not a swod.
[Theme music intensifies]
I would not be surprised if these two end up together. It would be cliché af, but somehow seems to be "natural". Both are cool, quick-thinking youth with determination.
